Registration, Audition, and Casting Process
Step 1: Registration
Register and pay ONLY the $35 audition fee to secure your spot and receive the audition guide with instructions for your self-tape video.
Step 2: Video Audition Submission
Receive and Submit Video Audition: You'll receive your Order Confirmation Email with the audition guide link, then follow the instructions to complete and upload your self-tape video.
Step 3: Notification of Acceptance
Notification of Acceptance: By January 14, you’ll find out if you’ve been accepted into the Encore Cast. If not selected, you’ll get class personalized suggestions to help you grow.
Step 4:Call Backs
If accepted, you must attend in-person callbacks on 1/17 from 5–8:30 pm (details will be provided). Production registration must be completed before callbacks.
Step 5:Cast Announcement
Only named roles are required to register for the Wednesday Acting & Leadership Class (6:30–8:00 pm) with additional tuition. This class is optional for Ensemble but strongly encouraged for growth.
About the Audition Process…
Students are selected for the ENCORE cast through a self-tape audition. Here’s what you need to know:
Register to Audition: A $35 non-refundable fee is required. After registering, you’ll receive instructions to create and submit your audition videos.
Submit Your Self-Tape: Videos are due by January 10, 2025, at 9:00 pm and must include:
- Singing: 30 seconds of a song in The Wizard of Oz style.
- Monologue: 30 seconds (provided after registration).
- Dance Combo: 30 seconds (choreography video provided).
- Interview: A 30-second response to a question (provided after registration).
Casting Decisions: Auditioning does not guarantee a spot in the cast, as spaces are limited.
Register for the Production: If selected, you must register before attending callbacks:
Tuition: 4 payments of $206.25 (Total of $825). Includes $75 for costumes.
Callbacks: Attend in-person callbacks on January 17, 2025, from 5:00–8:30 pm for specific role auditions.
Named Roles & Acting Class:
- Students cast in named roles (see list below) MUST register for the Wednesday Night Acting & Leadership Class (6:30–8:00 pm) for an additional $195.
- Ensemble members have the OPTION to join this class but are not required; it is strongly encouraged for skill-building and future lead roles.
- Named Roles: Dorothy, Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, Hunk/Scarecrow, Zeke/Lion, Hickory/Tinman, Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch of the West, Professor Marvel, Glinda, Doorman, Guard, Nikko
